Dr. Marinho is the head of the Experimental Immunoparasitology laboratory and Associate Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the University of São Paulo. Marinho’s group has been investigating the molecular and cellular components of innate and acquired immunity, which contribute to the development of placental malaria in pregnant women.
